Dr. Garrett is the founder of Innovative Leadership Solutions and I AM B.O.S.S. (Builder, Overcomer, Strong & Successful), LLC. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Lecturer, Professor and Diversity Trainer. She is also a Community Activist, Author, Content Developer, Consultant, Keynote Speaker, Coach, Mentor and Leadership Trainer with the John Maxwell Team.
She serves her community as the Chair for the City of Jacksonville, FL Mayor’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council (VAAC). She also serves her community as a Master Facilitator for ReClaim Global which helps adult victims of childhood molestation and sexual abuse reclaim their lives.
Dr. Garrett was formerly the Domestic Violence (DV) Court Coordinator for the 4th Judicial Circuit of Jacksonville, Florida covering Duval, Clay and Nassau Counties. She also served the 4th Circuit as a member of the Jacksonville Fatality Review Team, Jacksonville Domestic Violence Intervention Project and Urban League Task Force Committee.
Dr. Garrett attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she received a B.S. in Criminal Justice. She received a M.A. in Information Management & Technology from Webster University in Jacksonville, FL. She also received a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Garrett has been married to the love of her life 21 years and they have two amazingly beautiful daughters’.
